Functional and Decorative Warm Glass Art

The glass will be assembled the day of class. It will then be fired in my kiln. You may choose to place the glass frame on mirror (I will glue the frame onto pre-cut mirror), or attach it to an acrylic free-standing photo frame that will allow you to slide your photos in and out. The mirror will be finished with wall-mounting hardware. Or, you may choose to keep your frame unattached and find your own method of using it! I will have examples of the finishing options on the day of class.

This frame will make a great and memorable gift for Mother's Day, Father's Day, or any other occasion.

A deposit for any course fees may be required in order to secure your seat in the class (see payment options listed for each class). Final class fees are payable on the date of the class and can be paid by cash or credit card, or via PayPal.

fused glass bowls

Fee: $80 ($40 deposit required to save your seat)

Open to Adults (ages 18+)

Limited to 10 students

This class is back by popular demand! Make a 12" diameter fused glass bowl that will be food-safe. Start with a circle of clear glass, then add layers of colour to create your own design. Create a picture, landscape, portrait, or abstract design. I will have many examples from past classes to share.

You have the option of making a plate, bowl, or a flat piece: they all start with the same clear circle. We will talk about your design options for each type of finished project. We will also spend plenty of time practicing glass cutting prior to working on our final project. This class is perfect for beginners, or those of you with some glass experience.

FUSED Glass Frames

Fee: $80 ($40 deposit required to save your seat)

Open to Adults (ages 18+)

Limited to 10 students

Practice your glass cutting skills while making a one-of-a-kind frame for a 5" x 7" photo or mirror. We will be using the "stack technique" to layer glass colours and create an open glass frame. Choose your own colours and create your own style: go crazy or try for a more refined look. We will learn about reactive glass colours and how to combine them to get the look you want. This class is suitable for beginners- no glass experience is needed! It will also be a fun class for those of you who have taken a class in the past, as you will be practicing what you already learned about cutting glass accurately.

Fused Glass Jewelry Making Course

Fee: $200 ($50 deposit required to save your seat)

Open to Adults (ages 18+)

Do you want to learn to make earrings, pendants, bracelets, and more? This is the course for you! I will be showing you the secrets to making beautiful fused glass jewelry similar to the styles you have seen at my shows. This will be an involved process that will take three separate classes to complete.

At the end of this course, you will go home with your completed pieces. You will be able to make many pieces: up to 16 pairs of earrings, up to 6 pendants, up to 4 bracelets, 8 rings, or any combination thereof. I will have many styles of Sterling silver plated settings available (for an additional fee) for you to design your own one-of-a-kind pieces.

The class fee of $200 covers all glass, use of tools and equipment, kiln firings, and basic wire finishes (wire wrapping and basic earring hooks). If you wish to design pieces with other silver or gold settings, there will be an additional cost. This course will involve the use of powered equipment, such as glass grinders, belt grinders, glass saws, drill press, and/or ring saws. I am therefore limiting this course to five (5) students only.

Looking for a fun team-building exercise or ladies' (or guys') night? I can customize a great two- to four-hour private workshop making lovely glass items like jewelry pendants, coasters, or ornaments. Items will be fired and picked up a few days later. Maximum of 10 people per workshop. Please contact me for pricing and availability.
